   Review

Like I said earlier, this is not going to be a normal review. I was watching the Academy Awards and was not at all shocked when I saw that Al Gore's movie won for best Documentary. The speech is what really irked me. Al Gore got up on stage and began spewing crap out of his mouth saying that this was not a political movie, and politics have nothing to do with it. I tell you what, if Hollywood was not so incredibly liberal, this movie wouldn't have even been nominated for an award, let alone win two.

This film was the biggest piece of propaganda I have personally ever seen come out of Hollywood, ever. Al Gore goes out and spews his crap about how America is ruining the world through green house gases, and that all the cars out there are ruining the air we breath. What he does not tell you is that while he was filming this movie, he was flying around the country using up more gas in an airplane than any car could use in its lifetime.

The Global Warming scheme is a political topic, and for Al Gore to say it isn't is just plain stupidity. The claim that Global Warming is even occurring is very thin at best, not a lot of these people realize that Global Warming and Cooling occur constantly throughout the worlds history, this all depends on the sun warming and cooling. While I am not saying that I do not think that the planet may be warming a little due to the gasses that have been added into our atmosphere, I am saying that the gasses are not THE reason this is happening.

Now, lets get on to the movie itself.

Al Gore sets out on a nationwide speech-a-thon to "educate" people on the dangers of Global Warming. I put educate in quotations because not once in this film do I see him really educating anyone, he is preaching to his audiences. He is demanding things that are not plausible and he is blaming people that need not be blamed for what is going on with the Earth.

While I do not agree with Al Gore or the whole Global Warming SCARE, this propaganda film seemed to be well researched. (I need to add something there, it seemed that researchers that were named in this film were quality people, but they are shooting for the moon when they say that this is the only reason global warming is happening. While I do applaud these people for all the work they do, if I saw them on the street I may take a baseball bat to their kneecaps, just for the fact that they are completely one sided and do not give the time of day to another side of the story.) This film upset me beyond belief just for the fact that it was one sided and they didn't even entertain that there were other reasons for Global Warming, and they didn't even think about entertaining the idea that it was a natural phenomenon. This movie was poorly done, with way too much emphasized on the idea of liberalism at its worst. While it is a watchable propaganda film, it was not entertaining in the least, and seeing Al Gore for 90 minutes plus was really excruciating.

Final Score: 1/2 out of 5

Final Thoughts: This film had no business being called a Documentary just for the fact that it told only one side of the story. The name of this film makes me laugh "An Inconvenient Truth" while the fact is this film should have been called "A Convenient Lie" or "Stretching Facts to Make it Suit Our Purpose" propaganda is a wonderful thing at times, but all politics aside, this film was atrociously bad, and had no business winning anything.
