Dukes of Hazzard

 Synopsis: Cousins Bo, Luke and Daisy Duke are trying to save their family farm from the corrupt county commissioner Boss Hogg. 

 My Thoughts: This movie is based on the TV show of the same name. This movie got some bad wrap in the theaters being shot down by a lot of critics. I thought that this movie was great for a comedy movie that was based on a television show. Lets see how it ranks.

   Scorecard

     Acting- I love Seann William Scott, he is a very funny guy, and he can do no wrong in my eyes, (or at least I haven't seen him do wrong yet.) Johnny Knoxville was very impressive in this film and did a good job in what he was given. Jessica Simpson was SMOKING HOT as Daisy Duke, so that is always a plus, her acting wasn't awe inspiring...but it wasn't supposed to be. Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg was great, and Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse was very funny too. Overall the acting in this movie was surprisingly good. (1)

     Direction- Do you really expect great direction in a movie like this? Especially from the guy that gave you Super Troopers and Club Dread? The direction was good enough to get by on, but there wasn't anything great. The film flowed, and ended like it should have. (1/2)

     Story- This story has been run into the ground, so it wasn't great. If you haven't seen a movie where there is a family trying to save their home from the evil government you will be in for a treat, but if you have, it is average. I liked the addition of the car race, which was fun to watch, but there was nothing special about the story. (1/2)

     Expectations- I was hoping that this movie would be good. It was. I was very disappointed in the way this film was portrayed in the eyes of most critics. This movie was a Razzie award winner. I don't understand why. (1/2)

     Boring?- Not at all. This movie will keep you entertained throughout the entire 105 minutes. You will laugh, you will be on the edge of your seat, if you are a guy you will drool a little at the site of Jessica Simpson in her really short shorts. (1)

 Final Thoughts: This movie should have never gotten then bad wrap that it did. This movie was very fun to watch, and I am sure that you will enjoy it too.
