Raiders
of the Lost Ark

Starring: Harrison Ford
Directed by: Stephen
Spielberg
Rated PG
Synopsis: Indiana Jones is
here. A professor of Archeology is out in search of the Ark of the
Covenant, Indy battles Nazi's and his fear of snakes on his way.
My Thoughts: This movie was
great in almost every way. Lets look at the scorecard.
Scorecard:
Acting-
Harrison Ford was the perfect choice for Indiana Jones. The acting was
okay, but in an action movie like this, you don't really expect great
acting. (1)
Direction
- Spielberg did a very good job in keeping to the story,
and not wandering off, the direction was very well done, and went right
where it should have. (1)
Story
- The story of Indiana Jones looking for the Ark of the
Covenant and outsmarting Nazi's is just brilliant. The awesomness of this
story didn't transcend very well into the next two movies made about
Indiana Jones. But this one was almost perfect. (1)
Expectations
- I really didn't expect anything when I first saw this
movie. I was young and immature. This movie was just fantastic and blew my
mind as a kid. And it still does in a way. (1)
Boring?
- The only flaw in this movie. There are too many down
times in this movie. It carries well, but the parts that are boring are so
boring it really hurts parts of the movie. (1/2)
Final
Score: 4 1/2 out of 5
Final Thoughts: One of the
greatest movies I have seen. It was fun to watch, and really made you think and
was full of action. If you have yet to see this movie, find it and watch it, you
will not be disappointed, but try and stay away from the other two movies, they
just weren't as good.
