Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Starring: Burl Ives Produced by: Rankin/Bass Stop Animation Rated G Genre: Family Synopsis: This is the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, who had a very shiny nose, and if you had ever saw it, you may even say it glows. My Thoughts: This was the stop motion animation television special, not the movie that had limited release that was from 1998. Just because this was a television special, I really cannot rate this the same as a movie. Scorecard Fun To Watch?- I am not a huge fan of Christmas movies, but it seems like everyone enjoys watching this special, so my Grinchiness shouldn't take away from that fact. (1) Stands the test of time?- Yes. This television special is still as popular today as it was when it first came out back in 1964. (1) Good for Kids and Adults alike?- Not really. This is totally for kids, I do not know too many adults that aren't complete nut cases that still enjoy watching this special. (1/2) I have no more categories for this special. With the three categories I did have, it scored a 2 1/2 out of 3, so I guess that's pretty good. It's like an 83%, so its a solid 'B'. RECOMMENDED if you like Christmas things.
