weapons from the Royal Navy and the Soviet Fleet are stolen by a madman

My Thoughts:
This movie was a very typical James Bond movie, full of fun action, cool
gadgets and hot women, what more could you want from a Bond movie?
Scorecard
Acting-
Roger Moore is back as James Bond, and you can really tell that he is very
comfortable in his role. We also get Richard Kiel in his infamous role
Jaws, of course Jaws does not require great acting, but it is a cool
character. I think that all the acting combined was very well done,
especially by Moore who has finally come into his own as Bond. (1)
Direction-
Lewis Gilbert returns after a few movie hiatus, and does a pretty good
job. The flow was a little bumpy and there were some continuity problems
that hurt the overall quality of the film, but it was still good enough to
get the job done. (1/2)
Story-
This is a typical James Bond story where he needs to stop a madman from
completely destroying the world. This time he is teamed up with a Soviet
agent (triple x). While there was nothing incredibly groundbreaking, the
story was good enough to keep people entertained and keep you watching. (1/2)
Expectations-
I was expecting this movie to be a stereotypical James Bond movie with a
lot of action and a decent story, it was. (1/2)
Boring?-
There were a few crucial spots in this film where it really dragged, but
the movie as a whole was not at all boring, but the slow spots hurt the
flow of the movie, it the slow spots were at the beginning or near the
end, it would have been better, but they all were slap dead in the middle
of the film. (1/2)
Final
Score: 3
out of 5
Final Thoughts:
James Bond in another very watchable film, with nothing incredibly
exciting or great, but was still fun. Roger Moore is trying his hardest to
become the best Bond, and in my eyes, he is doing an excellent job.
